This Full-Size Wilson White Panel ball was boldly signed and inscribed by Dave Duerson to the President of ESI Group, the firm who worked with Duerson on his last business venture “Duerson Foods”:

Duerson took his own life in 2011 and ESPN Chicago reported the Super Bowl XX champion faced financial issues when he committed suicide:

Duerson had filed for personal bankruptcy in September 2011 in Florida, according to court documents. He listed $34.6 million in assets and $14.7 million in liabilities. However, nearly all of the assets were part of a judgment his food company had won in 2004 but had never collected.

Duerson single signed footballs are uncommon and this inscription referencing his failed business venture makes it a unique piece from the famed 1985 Bears team.
