Lot Description
A French Gilt Bronze and Champlevé Centerpiece
After the Model by Louis Constant Sevin and Ferdinand Barbedienne, Late 19th Century
unmarked, together with an English ceramic bowl sitting in the liner.
Height 13 1/4 x width 12 1/4 inches.

Condition Report
In overall good, stable condition. The gilt bronze elements with scattered black specks to finish. The enamel appears intact without evidence of restoration. Some of the bronze supports of the central element of base bent slightly but do not appear to impact structural integrity of the piece. The bowl with oxidation and staining suggesting the centerpiece was used and exposed to water. Bowl with a later ceramic insert, ceramic with cracks and crazing to glaze.
