Note:
These cupboards were acquired in England by Colonel and Mrs. Thomas Woodnutt Miller for installation in the living room of their new Wilmington, Delaware home, built in 1916. The corner cupboards remained in the home until Mrs. Miller's death, when they were de-installed and given to her daughter, Mrs. Bissell, wife of George P. Bissell, former President and CEO of the Wilmington Trust Company. In the early 1970s, Mrs. Bissell returned the cupboards to their original home as a gift to the present owners, where they have since remained.
