marked REVERE within rectangle.
with undulating thread engraving and monogram AD for Ann Maria Dodd (1819-1897).

Tongs likely monogrammed by another silversmith as Revere died in 1818, twenty-seven years before Ann Maria's wedding to luxury goods merchant William Bellamy (1801-1874) on 13 March 1845, when she was given the tongs by her grandfather, Timothy Dodd, Jr. (1753-1838), the original owner.
