Frances Ann Gwynn (1793-1821) was the eldest daughter of Thomas Peyton Gwynn (1762-1810) and Frances Peyton. She became the second wife of William Branch Giles (1762-1830) in 1810 when he was a United States Senator from Virginia. William Branch Giles would later serve as Governor of Virginia from 1827 until 1830.
