Condition Report
Please note the chandelier is currently disassembled for moving. It was stored for many years, never put together and installed by the consignor, although it was installed in a home before it was purchased by the consignor approximately 6-8 years ago. One branch with a restored and overpainted candle cup, that cup detached from its socket and needing repair. Another arm with a restored break and small amount of visible overpainting in the S-curve of its arm. Another arm with a broken-off and missing section of its drip pan. Another arm with a section of its S-curve broken through but present, needing repair. In the photo, only one single-light S-curve arm is pictured, but three are preset. On the chandelier's center support, there is restoration with overpainting between three of the single-light S-curve arms' sockets. Two of the C-curve "ears" on the lower part of the central support have been restored. Scattered numerous chips to edges of flowers and leaves from the hanging ornaments, as is typical for "bocage" porcelain. Small chips in several places on the turquoise "scrolled leaves" above the putti. One putto missing a finger; another putto with repair to one arm. Scattered small, negligible areas of restored chipped leaves with overpainting throughout. Total weight approximately 20-35 kilograms; precise weight is unknown.
