Lot Description
A Set of Eight George I Style Walnut Dining Chairs
19th Century
comprising two armchairs and eight side chairs.
Height 40 1/2 inches.

Provenance:
J. Tonks & Sons Ltd., Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Condition Report
Sturdy usable condition. Possibly an assembled set or one chair made to match the existing set, because one chair is grain painted to simulate burled walnut. Two of the other chairs also have painted enhancements to their burl graining. Two chairs with slight looseness to their back joints. 
One chair with a small area of bubbling veneer on it's back splat. Negligible scuffs and discolorations throughout as is typical for age and use. Upholstery clean and intact.
