Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. Quarter plate daguerreotype of Lenoxville, PA, possibly showing Howard's hardware store and home.
Quarter plate outdoor view of a business and residence, with "Lenoxville" inscribed on the reverse side of the plate indicating that the buildings may represent Howard's hardware and agricultural implement store and home located in Lenoxville, Pennsylvania. (Very good clarity, few streaks and scratches to plate's surface, tarnish to edges, resealed.) Plowshares and other farm implements can be seen on the store's front porch, and a man is shown standing in the doorway. Housed in a full pressed paper case (light surface wear).
