Payable to Columbia University for the sum of $50 (ink stamp cancellations on recto and verso). The check is accompanied by a typed cover letter signed by Brigadier General Robert L. Schulz, US Army (Ret.), and Executive Assistant to President Eisenhower, to Mary Pool. Gettysburg, PA, 18 May 1964. 1 page, 7 1/4 x 10 in., "Office of Dwight D. Eisenhower" letterhead, old folds. Brigadier General Schulz conveys Eisenhower's personal check. Also included is a franked envelope stamped "18 May 1964 Dwight D. Eisenhower. " Used to mail President Eisenhower's personal canceled check to Mrs. Pool.
