One page, 7 3/4 x 6 1/4 in. Fully separated along horizontal crease to upper portion with taped repair, some separation to horizontal crease to lower portion, some discoloration/toning, wear to edges. Docketed verso.

John Ross Key (1754-1821), a Revolutionary War officer and father of Francis Scott Key, is listed as the defendant in this Recognizance of Bail document, signed by Francis Key as the attorney for the defendant. John Ross Key is being sued in Frederick County Court for a debt allegedly owed to Catharine Margaret Kimball.
