[WORLD WAR I]. A pair of bugles, comprising:
World War I French clarion bugle with cords, approx. 20 in. (h), made for the military in 1911 by Couesnon & Co. Note accompanying the bugle on a portion of an envelope reads: "Bugle given to Papa in World War I by a soldier in the 4th Army of France. Papa was in the 1st Army of U.S.A. Bugle was played by French soldier to celebrate the victory of the battle of the Marne in 1918."
