Quarter plate relievo ambrotype seated portrait featuring a harness maker wearing short sleeves and a striped apron. (Some light loss to image in spots, with minimal wear to mat opening and light areas of discoloration throughout; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. The subject poses with one hand on a leather harness held by a vice clamp, and the other holding an awl or curved needle. -- Quarter plate tintype portrait featuring a cartographer or draughtsman seated at a table with the tools of his trade. (Minor spotting and darkening, otherwise good clarity; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case. The older, bearded subject holds a rolled up paper in one hand and a pair of calipers against a large sheet of paper with the other. His instrument case sits open on the table. -- Together, 2 quarter plate occupational portraits of men.
