[NATIVE AMERICANS]. 3 cabinet cards highlighted by image of Osage Chiefs incl. Bigheart by Parsons.
Cabinet card showing a group of Osages and white men posed in front the Osage Agency building. The Osages, with the exception of Chief Bigheart, are all in traditional clothes. Pawhuska, Oklahoma Territory: G.W. Parsons, ca 1880s-1890s (print soft in focus, light spotting to print and mount; edge wear to mount). Likely a period copy print on original cardstock mount. -- Cabinet card of "Steps," a Nez Perce Indian who escaped from his band while surrounded in the Bad Lands of Nebraska by General Nelson Miles in 1878. He then joined Sitting Bull's band of Sioux Indians. Fort Randall, Dakota Territory: Bailey, Dix, & Mead, 1882. Studio imprint and descriptive information on verso. -- Cabinet card, studio portrait of a Native American subject in traditional dress. Uncredited, with penciled notation on verso indicating the portrait was taken in the Oklahoma Territory, ca 1900 (few surface abrasions to print). -- Together, 3 cabinet cards.
