Lot Description
A Stunning 1927 World Series Lloyd Waner, Babe Ruth, Paul Waner and Lou Gehrig Type Three International Newsreel Photograph Published in Chicago American (PSA Authenticated)

"WHEN TWO GOOD BIG MEN MEET TWO GOOD LITTLE MEN"

Mounted image featuring stars of the 1927 World Series clash between the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates with clipping of its placement in the October 6, 1927 issue of the Chicago American on reverse. Caption reads "Lloyd Waner, left, greets Rush and his brother Paul exchanges best wishes with Lou Gehrig just before the world series classic got under way yesterday. And then the "Big Four" swung into action and proved the "big thunder" for their respective teams. Babe, the "Sultan of Swat," didn't push one over the fence, but he got three of his team's six hits. The sport world will be watching them today to see if they deliver again."

An uncommon group image from arguably baseball's greatest team - the 1927 Yankees.
