He became a member of the Clockmakers' Company in 1699, then opened his own shop at the Dial in Devereux Court from 1706 to 1712. He then relocated to Two Temple Gates until 1717, moved to Fleet Street, and died in 1733, succeeded by his only son Nathaniel.
