FIRST EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY HUGHES on front free endpaper with date of publication: “18th May 1967.” The majority of poems included in Wadwo were composed during Hughes’ marriage to Sylvia Plath, with only a handful written in the years between her death and publication.
