8vo. Original black gilt-lettered cloth; publisher’s unclipped dust jacket (very lightly rubbed, very slight creasing to spine ends, a few very tiny losses to extremities).
FIRST EDITION, with “A-6.62[H]” on copyright page, and without blurbs on dust jacket. Jones’s World War II combat novel was the basis for the 1998 film of the same name directed by Terrence Malick, starring Sean Penn, Adrien Brody, George Clooney, John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, Jared Leto, John C. Reilly and John Travolta. A BRIGHT COPY.
