SIGNED BY ALLENDE WITH ORIGINAL DRAWING OF A FLOWER on the title-page. Gaining Allende literary notoriety, The House of the Spirits was first published in Barcelona in 1982 and was adapted to film by Danish Director Bille August in 1993, starring Jeremy Irons, Meryl Street, Winona Ryder, Glenn Close, and Antonio Banderas.
