In the manner of Rocco Pavese (Italian/American, 1852-1950), Western Michigan, 19th Century
with elaborately worked shoes, leather collar, moustache, and belt.

Found in upstate New York.
U.S. City Directories record a Rocco Pavese in Saginaw, Michigan as early as 1887. Born in Italy around 1852, he immigrated to the United States in 1868. By 1908, Pavese appears to have relocated to Grand Rapids and is most frequently listed as a musician. Pavese died on November 26, 1950.
