Lot Description
Japanese Katana Signed "Kuninaga" with Outstanding Hamon in Shira Saya
24.5" nagasa. 35" overall with tsuka and saya. Shinto shinogi-zukuri style katana with a single hole nakago and mei that appears to read "Kuni-Naga Bushu Ju". Item is believed to have been made sometime around 1681. Mokume hada, attractive toran hamon, chu kissake, ihori mune, and omaru boshi. Blade is mounted in blonde wood shira saya with ebony mekuge, as well as two piece gold foil habaki. Included with item is a purple silk carry bag.

Condition Report
Very good. Blade has great state of polish and shows no flaws. Shira saya is also in good condition.
