We thank Dr. Christopher Platts for offering information about this artwork. The present drawing appears to be a preparatory study for the artist's Judgment of Solomon painting in the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Condition Report
Framed: 11 3/4 x 13 3/4 x 3/4 inches.
Trimmed sheet appears to be laid to an older backing board; pinpoint foxing throughout, as well as light soiling; one faint yellow stain in lower right.
