bearing the name Fred A. Ricketts in gilt lettering against a green wrap, and featuring an exceptional image of a gentleman climbing a telephone pole that reads Hudson Riv. Tel. Co.
underside marked T&V Limoges France and signed H. Hoffman Decorator, Albany, N.Y.
Height 3 5/8 inches.
Albany, New York City Directories from the 1920s and 1930s confirm that a Frederick A. Ricketts worked as an electrician. Ricketts married Katherine Prime McMurray on December 14, 1911, in Albany. The Hudson River Telephone Company was founded in Albany in 1883 and serviced clients along both shores of the Hudson River.
