Lot Description
**Colt Commander .38 Super in Original Box
Manufactured 1951
.38 Super. 4.25" barrel length. SN: 10760-LW. Blued metal finish with Black Anodized frame, polished hammer flanks and breech, and mounting synthetic "Coltwood" grips featuring the {Rampant Colt} logo. Single action short recoil operated autoloading pistol fed by detachable single-stack magazines featuring an aluminum frame. Slide mounts military pattern rear notch and front blade sights with the left side marked COMMANDER/MODEL COLT SUPER .38/AUTOMATIC followed by the {Rampant Colt} logo forward of the cocking serrations. Right slide is marked COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A. Item comes in its original COLT marked cardboard box with one COLT SUPER/38 AUTO marked magazine and the instructional pamphlet.

Condition Report
Very Good. Bore is Very Bright with some residues and patina forming near the muzzle and sharp rifling. Blued metal finish shows some faint internal cycling wear with one spot of patina behind the rear sight. Flanks of the hammer show flecked gray patina forming. Frame shows some scratches and mars on the forward gripstrap and the triggerguard. A reassembly scratch is forming on the left frame. Two further scratches on the left edge of the frame behind the triggerguard. Coltwood grips retain fine details. All corners of the box lid are split with some flaking and a portion of one flap torn off. Some tape applied to the box where it was secured shut. Manual shows stains overall with some splitting in the seams.
