**Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector First Model Triple Lock
.44 Special. 6.5" barrel length. SN: 13661. Nickel plated finish with casehardened hammer and trigger mounting bone grips. Double action hand ejector six-shot revolver with topstrap notch and forged hemispherical front blade sights. Item features a five screw frame with the early triple locking system and a pinned barrel. Serial numbers match on the cylinder, frame barrel, and on the interior face of the star extractor. The markings include Smith & Wesson's monogram proof on the right sideplate and a caliber mark to the left barrel. Top of the barrel displays a two-line address and patent mark reading SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D MAR. 27. 94./MAY. 21. 95. AUG. 4. 96. DEC. 22. 96. OCT. 8. 01. DEC. 3. 01. FEB. 6. 06. An assembly number of 6972 has been struck into the interior frame and crane.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is Bright with strong rifling throughout and some patches of light pitting. The nickel finish has been worn down on the flanks of the barrel with a milky sheen overall. Pinpoint discolorations forming overall with some specks of patina. Item displays edgewear on the frame and cylinder with a gray patina dominating losses and some brown patina forming near rear cylinder. The grips show some light handling wear with cracks forming through the upper edge of the right panel. Action displays good timing.
