**Colt Official Police Revolver
Manufactured 1967

.38 Special. 4" barrel length. SN: 916681. Blued metal finish with polished hammer flanks mounting checkered walnut Colt medallion grips. Double action hand-ejector revolver with six-shot cylinder and mounting adjustable rear notch and matted front blade sights. Item features a wide knurled hammer, and a vertically serrated trigger. Standard make and model markings applied include {Rampant Colt} to sideplate, Colt's monogram VP proof mark on the triggerguard, and OFFICIAL POLICE/.38 SPECIAL CTG. to the left barrel. Right barrel shows the single line address mark COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.

Condition Report

Very Good. Bore is Very Bright with crisp rifling. Metal finish shows light edgewear on the frame, some flecking to the finish behind the triggerguard, a hammer abrasion on top of the rear frame, and scattered light scratches. A light drag line is visible on the cylinder, and the muzzle shows some wear on the flanks. Grips have some skips to the checkering, and have some wear to the grip medallions. Varnish is worn down near the butt. Action shows good timing. Screw heads for the sideplate have some deformations indicating it has been removed and the action worked on at some point. Model and caliber mark on the left barrel weakly applied.
