Condition Report
In overall fair and stable condition. Retaining a fairly even patina, though lightly faded throughout. Scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Surface residue visible in areas. Age cracks in areas. The hinges appear to be original, but they have been reset as they broke off of the back board, resulting in a 1/2” strip added to the top of the rear board. The rear three inches of the lid, where it joins the hinges and running the width of the top to its side rails, appears to be an early replacement. Lock mechanism and clasp are replaced.

The physical condition of lots in our auctions can vary due to age, normal wear and tear, previous damage, and restoration/repair. All lots are sold "AS IS," in the condition they are in at the time of the auction, and we and the seller make no representation or warranty and assume no liability of any kind as to a lot's condition.
