The Quiver Firelight Interior is a classic Couse painting, in which a squatting Indian fills the frame. The artist has posed his model, Ben Lujan, on the right, facing left. The light of a fire floods the figure, although the fire itself is not visible. Ben is bare to the waist but wears deer skin leggings, beaded moccasins, and a feather ornament in his hair. He holds a quiver filled with arrows and on the ground to the left Couse has placed two pieces of pottery from his extensive collection.
