Following Hugo Gernsback's departure from Amazing Stories in 1929, Frank R. Paul opted to follow his former boss to his new publication, Wonder Stories. The present illustration likely accompanied a story which would have appeared in Amazing Stories during the 1930s. Accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity dated 8 March 2004 and SIGNED BY FORREST J. ACKERMAN.
