Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. Quarter plate tintype featuring a cavalryman on horseback in front of a large tent.
Quarter plate tintype outdoor portrait of a mounted soldier with a full beard and mustache, wearing gauntlets and a German saber on his belt. (Few minor imperfections to plate including small splotches of discoloration to upper right, spotting to mat; unsealed.) Housed in a leatherette case.
The horse is fitted with double reins and what appears to be a heart-shaped martingale plate.
