The lot is comprised of 12 photographs, 10 of which are CDVs. Subjects include:

John R. Goldsborough, Commodore, US Navy. New York: Brady, Anthony. -- John Dahlgren, Rear Admiral, US Navy, "Father of American Navy Ordnance." New York: J. Gurney & Son (trimmed edges). -- Winfield Scott. New York: Brady, Anthony (spotting, toning, corners clipped). -- C.H. Pendleton. Identified or signed on verso, "C.H. Pendleton, Feb 1867, Nice." Nice (France): Silli, 1867 (toning). -- Benjamin Butler (after lithograph/engraving). Uncredited (soiling, edge wear). -- Lyman French. Portsmouth, NH: Davis Brothers. Identified or signed on verso, "Lieut. Lyman P. French, US Marine Corps" (light spotting, toning). -- Composite view of 9 US Naval officers, including Silas Stringham at center. Boston, MA: Joseph Ward (occasional spotting). -- Unidentified naval officer, possibly Lieutenant Daniel Braine. Newport, RI: F. Kindler (toning, light spotting). -- Portrait of an unidentified subject in uniform, standing in a studio. Philadelphia, PA: J. Cremer & Co. (small portion of print and mount edges and corners trimmed) -- Standing view of an unidentified Naval officer. Portsmouth, NH: Newland & Co. -- Also included is a cabinet card of William LeRoy, Fleet Captain and Chief of Staff on the USS Franklin during the 1867 cruise. During the Civil War, LeRoy commanded the Ossipee under Admiral Farragut during the Battle of Mobile Bay, 5 August 1864, and received the surrender of CSS Tennessee. [With:] 14 x 11 in. composite image printed directly on cardstock, featuring 21 portraits of Naval officers, with an image of a ship pictured at bottom (toning, soiling, brittleness to cardstock, with 1 3/4 in. tear from the top edge, few chips, edges likely trimmed).

Together, 12 photographs. Condition generally fair to very good.
