A collection of 26 notes, letters, and autographs of Whig politicians, including:
CLAY, Henry (1777-1852). Autograph letter signed ("H. Clay") while serving as U.S. Senator from Kentucky. "Ashland" [KY], 30 May 1833. 1p, 8 x 10 in. (creasing at folds, toning, chipping at edges). Regarding a land transaction for acreage north of the Missouri River.
STEVENS, Thaddeus. Autograph letter signed ("Thaddeus Stevens"). Lancaster, Pennsylvania. 12 August 1855. 1p, 8 x 9 1/2 in. (creasing, toning, light chipping). Regarding legal matters and "Judge Galbraith."
YOUNG, John (1802-1852). Autograph letter signed ("John Young") to President Zachary Taylor. New York. 5 January 1850. 2pp, approx. 5 x 7 1/4 in. (creasing, toning, pencil notation, small loss). Young writes with a reference for William E. Robinson of NYC. A scarce autograph.
