[NATIVE AMERICANS]. [SHINDLER, A.Z., photog.]. Ta-mo-son, Chief of the Nez Perce and Interpreter.
7 1/8 x 5 1/4 in. photograph on 8 1/4 x 6 1/8 in. cardstock mount of Ta-mo-son (Timothy) Chief of the Nez Perce and Interpreter. Uncredited, but known to have been taken by Antonio Zeno Shindler (1823-1899), Washington, DC, 3 June 1868. “Timothy, Interpreter” pencil inscription verso (toning, some soiling to print and mount, light residue near lower margin of print; mount edges trimmed).
