Lot Description
Remington Nickel Refinish Pistol in .32 S&W
.32 S&W. 19" barrel length. SN: NSN. Nickel plated refinish overall with walnut pistol grip and splinter forend, and featuring an octagonal to round replacement barrel. Single action rolling block pistol mounting adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and front bead sights. The left side of the pistol grip has been fitted with an oval plate with the initials FTK engraved into it with floral accents. Item features a lanyard loop to the butt, and a further sling loop to the mid length of the barrel. Barrel is signed H. CLAYTON. The receiver is marked REMINGTON'S ILION. N.Y. U.S.A./PAT. MAY 3D. NOV. 15TH 1864 APRIL 17TH 1866. The trigger is blued, and the breechblock and hammer show a polished finish. Item comes in an aftermarket wood presentation case with red velvet lined interior. Included in the case are an empty box of .32 S&W Remington KLEANBORE cartridges, two piece brass cleaning rod, and a bore mop.

Condition Report
Very Good as Refinished. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. The barrel finish shows multiple spots of oxidation along its length with some brown patina forming over the rear frame. The breechblock and hammer both show gray patina forming over their operating surfaces. Multiple deep pits and mars visible to the right barrel. The wood furniture shows some handling mars and wear. Box likewise shows some scratches and dust throughout. Cartridge box is split and flaking at the edges with a tear to the lid. The cleaning rod is tarnished and the bore mop is dirty and used.
