.30-40 Krag. 30" barrel length. SN: 250518 (Mfg. ca.1900). Blued military finish and case hardened receiver. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm with grasping grooves and a handguard. Bolt action rifle with folding adjustable M1901 pattern rear sight and pinned front sight that is missing the blade. Item features an integrated box magazine, stacking sling swivels, bayonet lug forend, and trapdoor buttplate void of contents. Markings include US/MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 250518 to receiver. Stock is marked with a circle P proof under grip and a boxed JSA/1900 Joseph S. Adams inspector cartouche on lift side. Stock is also carved with the initials R and W to bottom edge of stock.
Good. Bore is bright. Finishes have mottled appearance overall due to losses, scattered pit marks, and scratching. Wood stock has some light scratching overall, and sprinkled discoloration to right side of butt.
