American Civil War
.36" Caliber. 7.125" barrel length. SN: 506. Blued metal finish with replacement two piece walnut grip panels. Single-action six-shot percussion revolver with a secondary trigger to cycle the action and cock the hammer. The revolver mounts topstrap notch rear and front brass blade sights. Loading lever has been replaced with a crudely built and finished model secured in place with two hexagonal iron washers. The grip panels have been hand whittled to accommodate the mainspring. Topstrap bears a weak and partially legible manufacturer and patent mark. Remaining marks read only MIDDLETOWN CT/JUNE 17 185/15 1860. Item shows signs of rounding on the edges due to aggressive cleaning.
