** A. Frohn Schuetzen
.32-40. 30.675" barrel length. SN: 7056. Blued metal finish with casehardeed receiver set into a walnut Schuetzen pattern stock with schnabel forend. Falling block System Aydt pattern schuetzen rifle with an octagonal barrel and mounting dovetail mounts for optics installation, and a socket for a Vernier pattern sight on the tang. The rifle mounts double set triggers, a forwardsling swivel, and a tunnel sight on a matted ramp. The top of the barrel features gold inlaid lettering reading ORIGINAL SYSTEM AYDT. The rear barrel shows some light border scrollwork, and Imperial German inspection stamps on the barrel and breechblock. The left barrel caliber marking reads 8.15x46 NORM., with a later caliber mark electropenned to the right barrel reading .32-40. The maker mark A. FROHN is engraved into the right barrel flat, with the city SUHL mark on the left. Serial numbers are mixed on the receiver and barrel. Left wrist has been engraved with the initials A.E.
