Pair of Halfstock Percussion Target Rifles Including: Unmarked Contemporary and John Rickets
1.) .45 caliber. 32" octagonal barrel length. SN: NSN. Browned metal finish. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm, with pewter or steel forend. Percussion action rifle with a tang mounted peep sight and hooded ghost ring front sight. Item features high spur hammer, single spur triggerguard, and crescent buttplate. Includes ramrod. 

2.) .38 caliber. 32" octagonal barrel length. SN: NSN. Browned metal finish. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm with steel forend. Percussion rifle with notch rear sight and ivory blade front sight. Item features double set triggers, a lock marked R.B. in a banner engraving, and barrel that is marked J. RICKETS/MANFIELD, O. to top flat. Includes brass tip ramrod. John Rickets was active as a gunmaker from about 1859-1883 in Mansfield, Ohio according to Database of USA Gunmakers

Condition Report
1.) Good. Bore is bright, with some residue to rifling. Finish has a mottled appearance overall, with some scattered scratching. Wood stock shows some light scratches and mars. Action is functional. 

2.) Fair. Bore is dark. Finish has mottled appearance overall due to pitting and scratching. Wood stock also shows scratches and mars. Action is functional.
