A Chinese modeled and enameled "Fahua"-type turquoise-ground porcelain jar 法华彩盖罐 Ming dynasty ?

Sturdily potted in compressed baluster form, the body slip-decorated with still life of rock, bamboo shoots, branches, and birds, shoulder with five lobed cloud-lappets enclosing floral sprays, six cloud scrolls to the neck, olive-glazed to the interior, with carved wooden cover.
