A Chinese carved dark soapstone Luohan 寿山石雕罗汉
Depicting Bodhidharma holding a shoe,with a full curling beard and hair, bulging eyes, fine incised borders to his robes, the stone of a mottled dark chocolate tone, affixed to a later wood stand.
