Albumen photograph, 5.25 x 7.25 in., on 10.875 x 14.875 in. Hayden survey mount with credit to W.H. Jackson.
Studio portrait of Yankton Sioux Brave Wan-Mdi-Sa-Pa, or Black Eagle, originally taken by A. Zeno Shindler in Washington 1867.
In the 1870s, Shindler's negatives came under Jackson's control, and prints were put on Hayden Survey mounts.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
