A Japanese Mixed-Metal Inset Lacquer Stationary Box, Bunko
Meiji-Taisho Period
of rectangular form, the exterior decorated with an overall basket weave motif, inset with various fan-shaped mix-metal panels incised and chiseled with birds in flight, flowering branches, plants and gourd, the body mounted two purple tassels.
