A Japanese Gilt Bronze Figure of Shakyamuni at Birth
15th/16th Century
the Buddha figure depicted standing on a lotus throne with the upper torso naked, wearing loose dhoti, his right hand pointing up at the sky and the left hand stretched and pointing to the ground.
Height 5 1/2 in., 13.97 cm.
