Top of the barrel is struck US./JH/P with an additional H initial on the left barrel flat. H stamp remains visible on the tang with a partial inspector initial on the barrel band. Stock has been sanded with the counterpane showing two faint and illegible cartouches and the top of the wrist marked 80.
