East India Company Model F Type Musket, Likely Nepalese Built
.75 caliber. 39.25" wedge retained round barrel. NSN. Bright finish, brass furniture, hardwood stock. Single shot percussion muzzleloading smoothbore percussion musket. East India Company "Rampant Lion" marked lock. Lock with spanner nut hammer screw may the the only English made part in the gun as the balance appears to be of "local" manufacture in India or Nepal. Baker Rifle style triggerguard, fixed notch rear sight, variant Lovell type bayonet catch under barrel. Nose cap with Sanskrit numbers engraved on it. Includes sling swivels, a reproduction sling and an iron ramrod.
