Nepalese Made Snider in the style of Pattern 1853 Type II Enfield
.577 Snider. 36.75" barrel. NSN. No finish, brass furniture, hardwood stock. Single shot breechloading metallic cartridge rifle. Locally made, likely in Nepal with Sanskrit markings and without English-made parts. It is not clear if this Type II pattern Enfield with solid spring retained bands is an alteration from muzzleloader or a produced as cartridge rifle. Includes ladder rear sight, combination front sight and socket bayonet lug, an iron jag head ramrod and sling swivels with a reproduction sling.
