Lot Description
Randall Model 16 Diver Knife with Sheath
7" blade length. 4.75" hilt. 12.75" overall with hilt and sheath. Drop point bowie knife with first 3" of the back edge sharpened and featuring wide tang construction with a brass guard, black micarta grips with finger grooves, and a lanyard loop to the butt. Left ricasso struck RANDALL MADE/ORLANDO, FL between two {Sabers} followed by S, indicating it is made of stainless steel. Item comes in a wax impregnated leather belt loop sheath with sharpening stone pouch containing an unmarked stone. A length of green paracord is tied through the lanyard loop on the knife.
Founded by Bo Randall in 1938, Randall Made Knives soon became well known for their quality and durability. Thousands of his hand-made knives were acquired by American military personnel during World War II, with Randall devising his first numerically assigned models especially for military service.
