Lot Description
**Arisaka Type 99 Rifle with Anti-Aircraft Sights and Ground Mum
7.7x58mm. 25.9" barrel length. SN: 24034. Blued metal finish with wood semi-pistol grip stock featuring a spliced toe, and mounting an adjustable rear aperture sight with anti-aircraft legs. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine charged with stripper clips. Markings include the Kanji marks for Type 99 to the top of the receiver below a ground off Chrysanthemum. Left receiver shows the {Nagoya Arsenal} marking and {Sixth Series} marking. Serial numbers match on bolt components, receiver, and bayonet lug. Rifle lacks a monopod, but comes with the cleaning rod, and features a chrome lined bore.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is dusty but should clean to Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish is thinning with brown patina forming on the receiver and barrel, and finish worn down on the bolt body. Buttplate is a deep brown patina, as is the triggerguard with some light pitting on the latter. Stock has handling wear, mars, and dents overall.
