Lot Description
**Swedish Mauser M1938 Short Rifle
6.5x55mm. 24" barrel length. SN: 667275. Blued metal finish with polished buttplate and bolt set in straight wrist walnut stock with right butt set with brass range conversion chart. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by internal box magazine charged with stripper clips, and featuring a cock-on-close bolt. Top of the receiver is struck HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS/AKTIEBOLAG/1942. Serial numbers match, and metal components are struck with the Swedish {Crown} proof marking. Importer mark to the barrel reads CAI ST. ALB. VT/M38 SWEDEN 6.5X55. Comes with cleaning rod and an unmarked leather sling.

Condition Report
Very Good. Bore is dirty with some dust that should clean to Very Bright or better with sharp rifling throughout. Blued finish displays some light scratches on the barrel and abrasions to the stock fittings. Some mars and nicks to the edge of the buttplate. Bolt handle forming a gray patina with much of the bolt showing grease residue. Wood furniture has some scattered light dents and mars. Sling shows some handling wear, scuffs and abrasions with cracking at corners and tarnish to brass parts.
