.303 British. 25.2" barrel length. SN: 17C1646. Black Re-Arsenaled Suncorite finish overall set in an oil finished walnut semi-pistol grips tock, and mounting standard front blade with protectors and adjustable rear aperture sights. Bolt action repeating rifle fed by semi-detachable 10-shot magazines charged with stripper clips. Upper left side of the action body is marked U.S. PROPERTY with the left rear action body struck S/1942, indicating it was made by Savage Arms in the United States, and provided as lend-lease aid. Left flat of the action body shows a struck model marking reading No4MKI* with new marking applied afterward reading No4MKI/3(F)FTR/53 followed by the serial number.
