Lot Description
**Enfield No. 4 Mk. I M47C
.303 British. 25.2" barrel length. SN: PS1085. Black Suncorite metal finish overall with brass buttplate set in a varnished walnut semi-pistol grip stock with full length upper handguard. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by semi-detachable box magazines charged with stripper clips. Sights consist of a partially hooded front blade, and adjustable aperture rear sight. Left receiver is struck with model marking NO 4 MK 1 with left rear action body marked M47C/1948 (Indicating it was manufactured by BSA). Serial numbers match on the bolt handle and forend, but the magazine does not match. Comes with a green canvas sling showing maker marking A.B.L./I.D. 1952. Importer mark to left action body reads CENT ARMS/CENT/ST. ALBANS VT.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is Bright with some residues that should clean to Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Suncorite finish appears to have been touched up over the receiver with the applied finish showing some beading at the edges. Forend and finish to small parts shows some edgewear and flaking. Gray patina forming to the bolt body. Stock shows some rounded edges suggesting it was sanded and varnished. Stock additionally displays some handling dents scattered overall.
